The offence is reported to have taken place on 21 October. Shortly before midnight a 17 year-old Polish man was walking home from a friend’s house, he was approached by four to five males, believed to be around 18 years-old. The victim was in Bower Street when he was reported to have been punched in the face by one of the men. He was punched by a second man as he made his way back to his home address. He suffered a split lip, but no permanent injuries.

Maidstone Police want to trace this manInvestigating officer PC Helen Smith from Kent Police said: “This appears to have been a completely unprovoked attack on a man who was simply making his way home after spending the evening with friends. He was subjected to racial abuse and also assaulted twice. This kind of incident is rare, and we are releasing these images as the two men might be able to provide us with important information that will help us further our investigation.”
