Kent Postmistress Threatened With Knife

It happened between 12.15 and 12.30pm at the Post Office on The Parde on 12th January.

A man went into the Post Office and threatened the Post Mistress with what is believed to have been a knife.

He demanded packets of cigarettes, which he was given, and he left the shop, dropping a packet as he left.

He went off in the direction of Dunes Road, and the Post Master chased him. As the offender reached the Fish and Chip shop he almost crashed into a blue Ford Focus.

He continued down Dunes Road and out of sight.

Police officers searched the area, but did not find him.

The offender is described as white, aged 20, 6’ tall, wearing all black clothing, a distinctive three quarter length toggle jacket, a black scarf that was pulled over his mouth and nose and a hoodie. He is said to have a very pale complexion, narrow face and possibly blue eyes.

Police would like to speak to anyone who recognises this man, or has information that will help the inquiry.
