Airport Report Welcomed
Medway Council's welcoming a report that says closing Heathrow airport would be an economic disaster.
The study put together by three borough near the airport suggests up to 250,000 people could lose their jobs if Heathrow was shut down.
Councillors say it proves proposals for a new airport in the Thames Estuary should be rejected.
Man Found On Fire Dies
Police have confirmed a man - who was found on fire in Maidstone last week - has since died.
Officers were called to Mote Park around 4.30pm on Wednesday afternoon.
The man who hasn't been formally identified was taken to a specialist unit in London but later died from his injuries.
The death is not being treated as suspicious.
Appeal Over Wanted Thief
Police want help to find a man wanted over a series of thefts across the south east including one in Sevenoaks.
John Gwillim-Jones, 61, who was last known to be staying at a hotel in London, is accused of targeting elderly women out shopping between August and September.
Mum And Baby In Lucky Escape From Fire
A two month old baby has been taken from a kitchen fire in Broadstairs by their mother.
A cooker had caught alight in the flat in St Peter's Road.
Firecrews say a smoke alarm was fitted but it was not working so it was lucky the owner spotted the fire when she did.
Paving Theft Witnesses Wanted
Police want information about a group of men who appeared to be working in Eynsford last month.
It follows the theft of paving stones in Riverside on the 19th and 20th of November.
Officers say the men put up signs to make the work seem legitimate - there was a similar theft in Rochester two days later over which a man has been arrested and bailed.
Police Car Crashes Responding To 999 Call
The Serious Collisions unit is investigating a crash involving a Police car in Gravesend this morning.
The vehicle was responding to a call about a fire in Valley Drive when it collided with another car near the KFC.
A pedestrian was also involved, two people received minor injuries.
A burglar from Sheppey caught with a pair of stolen live chickens in a bag by officers who had used a mobile phone tracking app to catch him has been jailed for two years.
After drinking a bottle of whiskey to drown his sorrows having just lost his job, 24 year old Aubrey Hope who had just lost his job, drunk a bottle of whisky before going on a burglary spree across Minster.
He also stole some canaries and crashed a car while trying to steal that.

Police investigating a burglary at a house in Chilham near Canterbury in November have released a photo of a brooch that was stolen.
It's thought the Art Deco two and a half carat diamond lozenge panel brooch could be offered for sale.
