A man has been arrested over an alleged racist assault in Gillingham.
The 27-yearold is being questioned on suspicion of racially aggravated assault, threats to damage property and a public order offence following an incident in the high street yesterday afternoon.
It comes as a man is appearing in court charged in connection with an attack on a mosque in the town on Wednesday night.

Witnesses To M25 Crash Wanted
Kent Police want to hear from anyone who saw the crash on the M25 last Wednesday in which a pedestrian died when he was hit by a lorry.
Jamie Carter, 42, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident around 3.30 am. The road was closed between junctions 3 & 4 for nearly ten hours.

Man Charged With Dover Burglaries
A man arrested within hours of ten alleged burglary offences being committed in Dover early on Tuesday morning has been charged.
39-year-old Shane Clive Watkins from Marine Parade, in Folkestone, was arrested on Tuesday afternoon.
In seven of the alleged break-ins, a purse or handbag was stolen.

Alcohol Smuggling Brothers Jailed
Two brothers who attempted to smuggle almost £420,000 of alcohol into the UK through Dover have been jailed for nine months each.
Alan and Jason Jones who are from Wales, were stopped within minutes of each other as they arrived from Calais in July last year.
Both claimed to be carrying consignments of Coca Cola, but Border Force officers found pallets of vodka and mixed spirits.

Eurostar Expects Record Bankholiday
Eurostar says 120 thousand people are expected to use its trains to get to the continent over the Bank Holiday weekend, with Disneyland Paris and Provence the most popular destinations.
Demand is expected to be higher than this time last year when the Bank Holiday coincided with the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
