Man Stabbed In Gillingham 'Gang Attack'

A man is in a serious condition in hospital after being stabbed in the stomach in Gillingham.

Police say he was attacked by four men in the West Street and East Street area on Monday night.

He was seen running from the assault in nearby Burnt Oak Terrace and was later found by officers in Victoria Street.

He was taken to a hospital in London where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

A police spokesman said: "The injuries he suffered are consistent with stab wounds.

"Officers are keen to speak to anyone who saw the assault, or saw anything suspicious in the area at the time."
