Man's Death Investigated In Aylesford

Police are investigating the death of a man who was found critically injured next to a footbridge over the M20 in Aylesford.

Sixty-nine-year old Derek Gane was discovered by a passer-by in Station Road at 10.38am on Monday 14th August.

He was taken to a local hospital by South East Coast Ambulance Service with life threatening injuries and was subsequently transferred to a London hospital where he died on Thursday 17 August.

Now police want to hear from any witnesses who saw Mr Gane on the morning of Monday 14 August walking along Teapot Lane, over the M20 footbridge or in Station Road where he was found injured.

Aylesford death2They have released a CCTV image of Mr Gane that shows him earlier that day wearing a grey t-shirt, blue jeans and brown boots.
