Missing Canterbury Teenager

26 July 2010, 12:28

Police have appealed for information about a missing Canterbury teenager.

18 year old Meryl Turner-Maynard was last seen at her Gas Street home last Wednesday (21 July 2010) at 1.30pm and had been due to return later in the afternoon.

Insp Gordon Etheridge says

“We are worried about Meryl’s disappearance and that she has not been in contact with her family or friends since Wednesday. Meryl has learning difficulties and is therefore vulnerable so we have concerns for her welfare.”

Meryl is 5ft 5ins tall and is of slim build. She has light brown, collar-length hair and blue eyes. When she was last seen she was wearing black “jeggings”, a grey vest top and white flat shoes or grey plimsolls.

Anyone who can help is urged to contact Kent Police on 01622 690690.
