Sittingbourne robbery latest

Detectives have released an E-fit image of one of two men they are seeking in connection with a robbery, which happened in the town last month.

The victim was attacked in Park Road between 00:20am and 00:27am on Sunday 4th July.

Investigating officer, PC Steve Wells, said: "The victim, a 35-year-old Sittingbourne man, was walking along Park Road when he was approached by two men who threatened him and demanded he hand over his wallet before running off in the direction of Valenciennes Road.

"Fortunately the victim was not hurt but he was left shaken by the incident and his wallet and a small amount of cash was stolen."

Police have issued descriptions of the two men. The E-fit image is of the first suspect, who was aged between 25 and 26 and was wearing a pink Nike polo shirt and white shorts. He was of a stocky build and was about 6ft tall with black spiky hair.

His accomplice was also aged about 25 or 26 and was wearing a white polo shirt. He was also of stocky build, had black hair and was about 5ft 8in tall.

Anyone who recognises the E-fit or the descriptions or who has information about the robbery is asked to phone PC Wells at Sittingbourne Police Station on 01795 419344 or Kent Crimestoppers in confidence on 0800 555111
