Thieves Hit Boatyard Twice In Two Weeks

Police are appealing for witnesses after a boatyard close in Fordwich Road in Sturry, was reportedly targeted by thieves.

Between 5.40pm and 6.40pm on Thursday 23 June red fuel tanks were reported to have been stolen from three boats inside the secure boatyard.

Officers have released descriptions of two men seen in the area. The first was white, of a stocky build with cropped light hair. He was wearing a dark hoody, dark shorts and black trainers.

The second man was white, of a thin build, with short, dark hair. He was wearing a red T-shirt, a hoody and dark trousers.

The boatyard was targeted again at 7pm on Wednesday 6 July when two teenage girls were seen sliding under the fence and pushing a practice row boat worth £2,500 into the lake before rowing off.
