Tonge: Wife's Tribute To Shot Husband

The wife of a fish farm manager shot dead has spoken of her 'gentle giant' of a husband.

Steven Langley, 56, was found in the street in the village of Tonge near Sittingbourne on Friday afternoon with gun shot wounds to his stomach. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Mr Langley's body was found not far from the Bax Farm Fisheries where he was manager.

His wife, Lucia, had paid tribute to her 'gentle giant of a husband' with a 'heart of gold'. She said: "Steven loved his family who always came first and he would do anything for anybody."

Simon Olsen, 54 and of no fixed abode, has been charged with Mr Langley's murder and remains in police custody. Officers say they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.

Detective Inspector Gavin Moss, of the Serious Crime Directorate said: "We are continuing to investigate the circumstances that have led to this tragic death.

"Mr Langley was a much loved father and husband and was also a well known member of his local community."
