Tourism Campaign for Kent

A new campaign has started to get more people visiting Kent and we are being asked to join in and help.

It's being called Kent Contemporary and will feature posters of people and places across the county.

A design company have come up with some of the ideas and Heart has been given copies of the first two posters that will be put in newspapers and on bill boards.

You can let us know what you think of them by filling in the form at the bottom of the page.

For the first time, people living in the county are also getting a chance to get involved by nominating their favourite place in Kent and people they think should feature in the campaign.

A new website has been set up so you can upload your photos and stories.

Kevin Lynes from Kent County Council said: "Kent has a wealth of jewels to discover, from beautiful scenery and castles to stunning countryside and coastline, and there's also a tremendous amount to do once you're here.

"It's great that so many people visit Kent. Our challenge now is to get people to stay longer.

"These stunning Kent Contemporary images will show our county in a totally new and refreshing light."

The tourist industry in Kent is worth £2.5billion to the local economy and employs 50,000 people.
