Two Charged With Razvan Sirbu Murder

Police have charged two men with the murder of a homeless man whose body was found in woodland in Tovil, Maidstone earlier this month.

Alex McDonald, 18 of Regency Place and Jimmy Buckley, 19 of Capell Close, Coxheath are both charged with the murder of Razvan Sirbu, between 6 and 7 May, 2017.

Mr Sirbu, 21, was found dead at 7.15am on Sunday 7 May 2017, at a location in the Loose Valley Conservation Area. Results from a post mortem examination revealed he had died from several blows to his head and body.

McDonald and Buckley are due in court later today (16 May.)

Two boys, aged 14 and 15, who were also arrested in connection with the incident have been bailed pending further enquiries until 8 June.

A further person was arrested on suspicion of murder, shortly after 12am, on 16 May in the Maidstone area. The man, aged 18 and of no fixed address, remains in police custody.
