Back For Good Take That
Cobbes Meadow Group Riding for the Disabled provides therapeutic riding for children and adults with all kids of disabilities.
The gentle moment of the horse helps children who spend long periods in a wheelchair, and is calming for people on the autism spectrum. With your help Make Some Noise will sponsor two ponies, building confidence and bringing enjoyment to many children.
Seven year old Oliver is one of the children who has benefited from the riding at Cobbes Meadow. He has cerebral palsy and is in a wheel chair. When he started riding at the age of five he slumped in the saddle and had helpers supporting him on either side. As the horse walks its back moves in an up and down, rotary motion loosening and strengthening Oliver’s muscles. Oliver can now even sit up unaided! His physiotherapist is amazed at his progress. He won the “Most improved rider” trophy this year. Oliver’s smiling face is a testament to how much he enjoys riding and being with the ponies.
