There's being a bridezilla and then there's just being plain ungrateful.
A wedding guest has been left shocked when after being told that her gift of a £100 cheque was not good enough.
The outraged guest posted in a forum on Mumsnet asking for advice after the couple, who asked for cash gifts, suggested that her gift should be 'adjusted'.
The bride and groom, one of which was a former work colleague, had sent the guest an email where they declared: "we were surprised that your contribution didn't seem to match the warmth of your good wishes on our big day. In view of your own position, if you wanted to send any adjustment it would be thankfully received."
The Mumsnet user went on to say that she had recently come into a large inheritance and presumed that is what the couple had meant by 'in your position'.
She finished the post by asking other users whether she should contact them.
A number of users called the couple 'cheeky' and advised the poster to cancel the cheque. Others simply told her to ignore them.
One poster said: "I would email back but BCC any metal friends in so they are able to see the email for themselves or send a glitter bomb as the extra :P"
The poster was surprised at the level of response she received and said that she'd chosen to reply to the email with one sentence: "I assume this was some sort of mistake?"
