Local authorities in London have joined calls for the government to crack down on dangerous dogs.
London Councils, which represents 33 authorities, has called for an increase in the penalty for owning a banned type of dog.
The group also supports extending the law to include private land, to protect people like postal workers who have to visit houses as part of their work.
