Campaign To Tackle Domestic Violence

Scotland Yard is beginning a new advertising campaign to tackle domestic violence in our city, and encourage people to help victims by calling 999.

Nearly one in five murders in London are accounted for by domestic violence.

The force says it wants to challenge some of the reasons given for members of the public choosing not to intervene in incidents.

The internet and radio ads will carry the message "you make the call - we'll make it stop".
