Five people and a dog have been rescued from a sinking narrow boat on the Thames.

Emergency services were called after the boat started taking on water near Canary Wharf on Friday evening. The five were pulled from the water by rescuers.

Police say it only took minutes for the boat to sink completely.

The five were taken to hospital as a precaution.

The dog, named Gus, wasn't injured.
