Kate prepares for solo engagement

The Duchess of Cambridge will carry out her first public engagement on her own next week.

On Wednesday Kate is heading to the National Portrait Gallery where's she's a patron - followed by a trip to Liverpool on Valentine's Day.

The Duke of Cambridge starts a six week posting in the Falklands this morning.
