London NHS Trust Loses £1m A Week

A hospital trust is to be put into administration for the first time.

The South London Healthcare NHS Trust, which runs three hospitals, has been losing a million pounds a week.

It wil be the first in the country to be put under the control of a special administrator.

The trust has run up deficits of more than 150 million pounds over the past three years.

It's now emerged another 20 NHS trusts could also find themselves in special measures.
