Man Arrested In East London On Suspicion Of Terrorism Offences

Met Police have arrested a man at a house in Newham on suspicion of being a member or supporter of Islamic State.

The 32-year-old was taken to a South London police station by counter terror officers this morning.

He is being questioned on suspicion of encouraging acts of terrorism.

Officers say he's also being held on suspicion of collecting information which may be useful to somebody who commits or prepares acts of terrorism.
