Man Found Dead On Footpath

The Met Police say they're treating as murder the death of a man whose body was found on a footpath in east London.

Police were called at 1.30am on Tuesday 24 February 2015 to a man suffering serious injuries on the Greenway footpath and cycle path in Newham.

Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended. A man, aged around 30, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives said they believed they knew the name of the deceased but they awaited formal identification and next of kin.

They said enquiries were continuing to establish the full circumstances and no-one had been arrested.

Detectives are keen to speak to witnesses or anyone with information.
