McCartney Set For Capital Return

British fashion lovers are preparing for one of the biggest events of the year as Stella McCartney returns to London Fashion Week.

Her return to the capital's catwalks after preferring to use Paris Fashion Week to showcase her designs will see her holding a "special fashion presentation" at Somerset House this evening.

The much-anticipated invite-only event is the hottest ticket in town, and is expected to see a host of A-listers in the front row.

Leading fashion blogger Catwalk Queen said: "Her collection has been kept very much under wraps but I predict it will be influenced by sport, or sport luxe as it is called in the fashion industry.

"With Stella designing the Olympics uniform, I wouldn't be surprised if there are some sporty styles going on."

Today will also see shows by Issa London, Temperley London and House of Holland.

Yesterday Fashion Week kicked off with shows by designers including PPQ and Antoni & Alison, with many paying tribute to British style.

London was described as "the quirkiest and most experimental on the fashion week calendar".

The biannual fashion week will feature more than 100 catwalk shows, which are expected to generate orders in the region of £100 million and to contribute further millions to the London economy.
