More Noise For Some Near Heathrow

People living near Heathrow are being told to expect more noise as work is carried out to repair taxiways.

Airport management have apologised as the policy of alternating runways to reduce flight path noise is stopped for six weeks.

It means residents in Slough, Windsor, Hounslow and Isleworth who usually get noise for half the day will have to endure it for full days.

Colin Wood, the Director of Airside Operations at Heathrow, has told us they regret it but they have no alternative.

Alternation of runways will continue as normal at night.
