Pedestrian Dies

Police are investigating the death of a man hit by a lorry in Bromley.

It happened just before 10.30am on Thursday 11 June, a few streets away from the Princess Royal University Hospital.

Police were called by the London Ambulance Service to Hilda Vale Road, Farnborough Common, to reports of a crash involving a pedestrian and a lorry.

The pedestrian, a man believed to be aged 45, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said they believed they knew who the dead man was but were awaiting a formal identification.

The driver of the lorry, a man, stopped at the scene and was not arrested.

Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit based in Catford were carrying out enquires into the circumstances of the crash.
