Policeman On Station Assault Charge

A policeman will go on trial today (Monday August 26) accused of an assault at a north London police station.

Pc Rohan Scarlett, 46, is said to have committed the alleged offence on February 20 this year.

The Metropolitan Police officer, who is currently suspended, is charged with launching the attack in the rear yard of Islington police station.

He denies the offence and will go on trial at Highbury Corner Magistrates Court.
