Savile Row tailors will join John Lewis and boot brand Hunter at a series of fashion shows in the Buckingham Palace garden this summer.

The shows, to be watched by Royalty and public ticket-holders, will tell the story of British fashion over the past 60 years, showcasing companies that have been awarded the Royal Warrant of Appointment.

A raised catwalk will be built in the guise of a paved stone garden path edged with flowers, with seating for 400 ticket-holders on benches designed to look like crafted topiary hedges.

The shows, which are the first of their kind to be staged in the palace garden and open to the public, are part of the four-day festival hosted by the Royal Warrant Holders Association to celebrate innovation, industry and excellence.

Savile Row tailors taking part include Gieves & Hawkes, Dege & Skinner, Henry Poole & Co and Johns & Pegg, alongside fellow warrant-holders Austin Reed, Hunter Boots, Ettinger, John Lewis and Peter Jones.
