St Paul's Protestors To Be Evicted

The City of London Corporation has won its High Court bid to evict anti-capitalist protesters from outside St Paul's Cathedral

The camp has been outside the cathedral since 15th October in protest over the way our banks to business and forced the closure of the tourist attraction.

The corporation said there was an "overwhelming" case for the court's intervention because of the impact on the area of the camp and the risk that it would continue indefinitely.

Following a five-day hearing held before Christmas the judge granted orders for possession and injunctions against Occupy London.

Protestors have been told they can try to appeal again before next Friday.
