Two Men Arrested By Met In Terror Raids

Two men have been arrested in south-east London during dawn raids by counter-terrorism police.

Metropolitan Police say the suspects were detained at separate residential addresses this morning (Thurday 4 December).

A 33-year-old man is being questioned on suspicion of being concerned in the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism contrary to section 41 of the Terrorism Act 2000.

A 40-year-old man is being questioned on suspicion of conspiracy to possess and supply fraudulent documents.

Both men remain in custody at a central London police station. Searches are taking place at four residential addresses in south-east London and one in Stoke.

The arrests are linked to five terror suspects who Metropolitan Police were given more time to question on Tuesday.

It comes as South Wales Police say five men have been arrested on suspicion of terror offences.

The group are being held in relation to the support of banned organisations.
