Wednesday 3rd August

Heart Breakfast is always first with the news stories that matter and today was no exception. We were surprised to learn that Paul Daniels has been hospitalised after Sooty threw a pizza at him. Thankfully Paul’s okay and Sooty tweeted him to apologise. We asked Sooty for an official comment but he didn’t say anything, just sort of squeaked!

The Great British Beer Festival is taking place at Earl’s Court. There was real shock there yesterday because one of the finalists in their top 10 beer awards was a lager! Ales can have some pretty strange names and Jamie decided to test Harriet’s knowledge of beer. Click below to hear how she got on!

We introduced you to a new member of the Heart Breakfast team – iPod Nana! She’ll be dropping in every Wednesday to sing a song from her iPod and give one away. This morning she sang It’s Raining Men by the Weather Girls and gave a Heart Breakfast iPod to Susie in Battersea.

Carly from Balham proved she was wide awake on Wakey Wakey getting all 5 questions right and winning a Heart Breakfast alarm clock.

And Terri from Battersea scored 7 on Hearticulate so she’ll be seeing Olly Murs at Kempton Live. Listen tomorrow for another chance to win and to meet the man himself!

Have a great day x
