So it’s finally here!
Wimbledon 2010 begins today and for me it brings back great memories of living right by the courts from 2004-2006.
As a Southfields resident I loved the buzz of having so many visitors descend upon our little high street. I also loved the hard work TFL did to turn the tube stop into a grass court from Wimbledon. It was amazing!
I happened to pass through Wimbledon this morning and wondered if the tournament was still as popular as ever? I guess by looking at the couple of bus queues I spotted that would be a big YES! The taxi drivers are making a packet as well, £2.50 a trip to the courts. I need to find myself a cab!
If you are going or are just watching the action on TV I hope you have a fab time and make sure you cheer on Andy Murray!
