RULES

1.    The following rules (“Rules”) together with Global Radio’s ("Global Radio") general and competition terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) (which can be found at http://www.heart.co.uk/terms-conditions/) apply to ‘Back to School’ radio competition ("the Competition") which will run from 25.08.14 to 29.08.14 (“the Duration”).  The "Radio Station" is Heart London.

2.    Anyone who enters the Competition (an “Entrant”) will be deemed to have understood these Rules along with the Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them.  The Terms and Conditions are available on request from the Radio Station.

Details of the Competition:

3.    To enter the Competition an Entrant must:

Call the number given out on air. Telephone calls will be charged at standard network rates.  The opening and closing times of the Telephone Line will be given out on air. A caller will be picked at random and brought to air.

4.    The presenter will give the contestant three school subjects to choose from and they must pick one.  They will then be asked three questions from this subject.

5.    If the contestant answers all three questions correctly they will be the winner.

6.    However, if the contestant incorrectly answers a question, another randomly selected caller will be taken to air and re-asked that question. If they get it correct they will be asked the remaining question/s.  This will continue until someone answers the 3rd question correctly.

7.    The winner will be the contestant that correctly answers the 3rd question.

Eligibility:

8.    Entrants must be 18 years of age or older.

9.    Entry is restricted to one entry per person; duplicate entries will be removed.

Prize:

10. There will be 5 winners in total across the week.   Each winner will receive an Annual Merlin Pass for two adults and two children, an M&S giftcard for the amount of £1,000. The winner will also receive ONE prize of the following near a Merlin Attraction:
 
·      Lunch for two adults and two children at winner’s choice of restaurant

·      Overnight accommodation at a centrally located hotel

·      Breakfast for two adults and two children

·      Travel Allowance

11. Travel will be in the form of a £100 contribution toward expenses.

12. Lunch will be based on two adults and two children enjoy enjoying a single course meal from the a la carte menu excluding drinks.  Restaurant reservations are subject to availability at the time of booking.  Excludes Michelin starred restaurants.

13. Hotel will be classed as a minimum of 3 Star and is based on two adults and two children sharing a family room with ensuite bathroom on a bed and breakfast basis.

14. A Merlin Pass is a standard pass valid for 12 months. Entry is subject to attractions operating calendars, capacity, regulations and the following restrictions apply to the Standard Merlin Annual Pass; No entry during the month of August or on Bank Holidays at EDF Energy London Eye, Madame Tussauds London, London Dungeon and SEA LIFE London Aquarium. No entry during Fright Nights at THORPE PARK and other special events. Not valid for admission to The Castle Dungeon or Merlin: The Dragon Tower at Warwick Castle. No entry on 14th February at the London Eye. No entry on 29th and 31st October at the London Eye and The London Dungeon. Parking NOT INCLUDED.

All prizes must be claimed and booked by the prize winner within 12 months from the date of our initial correspondence with them.

£1,000 Marks and Spencer giftcard.

15. A £1,000 Marks and Spencer giftcard. This is non transferable and there is no alternative prize. This prize is not cash.

16. Gift cards can be redeemed at M&S stores (including Outlets in the United Kingdom, Eire and the Channel Islands, excluding BP stores) and online (subject to website terms and conditions). They may be exchanged for goods of a higher price than the face value of the card on payment of the difference.

17. Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash or used to pay for M&S Bank services, products our outstanding card balances, made to measure shirts, Lunch to Go, or M& S Energy.

18. Gift cards can be activated with a minimum value of £10 or €10 and have a maximum value of £500 or €700.

19. Gift cards are valid for 24 months from the last transaction. After 24 months from the last transaction, any remaining balance will be cancelled. Balance enquiries can be obtained in store or by calling 0333 014 8777 for the UK and Channel Islands (local rates apply) or 1890 719380  for Eire (mobile rates may vary).

20. If any item purchased with a gift card is subsequently exchanged for an item of a lower price or refunded, any money owing will be added to the remaining balance on the card.

21. If you do not spend the entire balance on the gift card, the remaining balance will be updated after each transaction and shown on your printed till receipt.

22. Gift cards should be treated as cash. They are not cheque guarantee, credit or charge cards. M&S will not accept liability for lost, stolen or damaged cards.

23. M&S reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions of gift cards at any time and to take appropriate action, including the cancellation of the card, if, in its discretion, it deems such action necessary. This does not affect your legal rights.

Global & NDL reserve the right to substitute the prize with another prize at its absolute discretion.
