The way we watch and record TV is changing. The analogue television signal is being turned off around the country region by region and soon all televisions will have to be digital ready.

Switchover affects everyone, unless you have a satellite or cable service on all your TV sets.

After the switchover, all VCRs and most DVD recorders (analogue recording equipment) will still be able to record the channel you’re watching, but they won’t be able to record a different channel at the same time. If you want to be able to do this, you’ll need a Digital TV Recorder, such as Freeview+, Sky+, V+ or a DVD recorder with 2 digital tuners. This can also convert your TV to digital.
