Thames Valley Police is appealing for information after an arson in the Beanhill area of Milton Keynes on Wednesday 30 March.

At about 1.30pm, the occupant of the house, a 69-year-old woman, was in bed, when a fire was started in a bin cupboard. The fire then spread to the rest of the house, including the room where the occupant was in bed. She was taken to Milton Keynes General Hospital for smoke inhalation.

DC Greg Hughes, leading the investigation, said, “We are especially interested in speaking to three youths who were seen in close proximity to the area at the time of the offence wearing local school blazers and carrying school bags. All are described as white, about 15-years-old, with short, messy, dark-coloured hair.”

Anyone with information about the incident should contact Thames Valley Police via the 24 hour non-emergency number, 0845 8 505 505. Alternatively if you don’t want to speak to police or leave your name, call the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
