Bedfordshire paralympian goes to olympics.

A Bedfordshire skier, who trains in Milton Keynes is flying out to Canada today, to take part in next months Paralympic Winter Olympics.

34 year old Jane Sowerby, who lives in Ampthill, was a high flying executive at MTV when she was paralysed after a serious fall nearly six years ago. The fall left her unable to move from the waist down.

However, a one-off skiing trip a year after her fall, uncovered Jane’s talent for skiing.

Jane uses specially adapted skies which allow her to travel at around 40mph.
