Boy Robbed Of Bike At Knifepoint

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after a robbery in Milton Keynes.

Between 12 noon and 1pm on Saturday (7/4), two 16-year-old boys were cycling in Bradville, just before the Redway underpass to Stantonbury, Milton-Keynes.

One of the boys stopped to tie his shoe lace and was approached by three youths, one of whom said “get off your bike”. When the victim refused, the offender produced a black handled 4ins knife, and repeated, “get off your bike”. The victim dismounted and the offender rode off with two males accomplices running alongside him.

The offender was black, with very dark skin, about 6ft to 6ft 3ins, and aged between 16 and 18. He had a wide nose and spoke with a northern accent possibly from Manchester. He was slim, wearing a grey flat cap, plain black hooded top and tracksuit bottoms.

No one was injured in the incident.

The bicycle is a white tempest GT 1.0 Mountain bike with black wheels and black forks.

PC Dave Monkhouse, from Milton Keynes police station, said: “We are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the incident or anyone who may know someone matching the description of the offender. Has the bicycle been presented for sale?”

Anyone with information should contact PC Nigel Woodall via the 24-hour Thames Valley Police Enquiry Line on 101.
