Disabled Woman Left Immobile By Robbery

17 March 2012, 08:00

A woman was travelling along the Redway in Milton Keynes on her mobility scooter when a teenage boy took the charger for it.

The 46 year old, was targeted last Saturday night at around 9.15pm, when the youth came up behind her and searched the rear carry area of the scooter, stealing the battery charger and a black jacket.

She managed to drive away onto Daniels Welch, Coffee Hall, where someone came to help her.

Thames Valley Police say the crime has effectively left the victim immobile as she can no longer charge her scooter.

The robber is described as 16 to 18 years old, thin with small features, hollow cheeks and light blue eyes.

He was wearing an old, dark-grey hooded top and riding a BMX bike.

They are asking anyone who recognises the person in the e-fit, or with any other information about the incident to call them on the non-emergency number 101, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
