Driver arrested over biker death

A driver's been arrested after a motorcyclist died in a crash on a Milton Keynes grid road near the city's Concrete Cows.

It happened on the H3 Monks Way near the junction with Octavian Drive, Bancroft, and the concrete cows, at 7.05pm on Friday 25 February 2011.

The motorbiker, who was 45 and from Northampton, was taken to Milton Keynes Hospital, where he died of his injuries.

The driver of a blue Renault Laguna, a 39 year old man from Milton Keynes, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been released on bail while police carry out further inquiries.

The collision happened just after the rush hour and there was still commuter traffic on the roads. Police are trying to find people who may have seen the crash, or the Laguna or the Red Honda motorbike just before the crash.
