A 33 year old is in hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car in Milton Keynes.

He was knocked over by a dark coloured VW Passat on the H2 Millers Way, underneath a pedestrian bridge, near the junction with Hodge Lea Lane, shortly after midnight on Sunday morning.

The victim was taken to Milton Keynes General Hospital with serious pelvis and shoulder injuries and is currently in a stable condition.

The vehicle involved is believed to have stickers on its doors with the word Speedline on them.

After the crash the car was driven off in the direction of V5 Great Monks Street and Stacey Bushes.

Investigating PC Sam Forsyth said: 'The vehicle would have suffered damage, possibly dents to the front bumper, bonnet and windscreen. The front number plate was hanging off when the vehicle left the scene and the driver is described as being Asian.'
