Formula One driver Mark Webber has become an ambassador for Buckinghamshire.

It means he'll promote the county wherever he goes across the world.

Webber's joined a group of more than 100 Buckinghamshire Ambassadors, who champion the area as a great place to live, work and socialise.

Mr Webber said:

"I've lived in Buckinghamshire since first arriving here from Australia to begin my quest to compete in Formula One and have raced for two F1 teams based in the county; Jaguar and my current team, Red Bull Racing. Although my job takes me all around the globe, I'm proud that this wonderful county has become my adopted home.

"It's a great privilege to be invited to become a Buckinghamshire Ambassador and I'm delighted to accept this honour. I hope that I can help to promote the cause of the Ambassadors and support the important work they deliver for the people of Buckinghamshire."
