Fatal collision on A5

The pedestrian who died in a road traffic collision in Milton Keynes this morning (Friday) has been named as 15-year-old Connor Dyer from Bradville.

At 1.55am on Friday Connor's mother had called police to say her son was missing. Police say an extensive search was started, and a police dog was used to try and track him.

At 3.36am police received a call about a collision on the Northbound Carriageway of the A5, between Abbey Hill roundabout and Old Stratford.

The crash involved a silver Toyota Avensis and a pedestrian, who has now been identified as Connor.

He was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

The Northbound Carriageway of the A5 was closed for around four hours after the crash, and re-opened at 7.45am.

Police are asking anyone who saw the crash to get in touch with them. If you witnessed anything you can call Sgt Scott Silk from the Roads Policing Department on 0845 8 505 505 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
