Report Your Nuisance Calls

Milton Keynes MP's are asking you to report your nuisance phone calls as they work on tightening up legislation.

MP Mark Lancaster has told Heart he thinks these calls are becoming increasingly common

He says people are even getting nuisance text messages now.

Existing legislation allows people to 'opt in' or 'opt out' of receiving these calls and messages but Mr Lancaster thinks this is no longer good enough:

"Its very complicated the whole 'opt in' and 'opt out' process and also some companies are now getting round it by actually calling from overseas and if you do that it doesn't fall under the TPS services"


He's now calling for people to report nuisance calls and messages to: cmsev@parliment.uk 

The reported incidents will then be put to the Media, Culture and Sports Committee in parliament so recommendations can be made.
