A Vietnamese man’s attempt to smuggle fish into New Zealand was foiled when officials noticed his trousers were dripping. New Zealand’s Ministry of Primary Industries grew suspicious of the fishy situation when they saw the man’s bulging pockets were splashing water to the ground. He claimed he was bringing the fish into the country for a friend. MPI spokesman Craig Hughes stated: 'That's something we take very seriously. The fish could have been carrying diseases or have the potential to displace native species.'
