Watch the trailer for Walt Disney Pictures' new hilarious animation, Gnomeo and Juliet

Based on the Shakespearian tale of Romeo and Juliet, Gnomeo and Juliet is a hilarious animated comedy rather than a tragedy.

Starring The Devil Wears Prada actress Emily Blunt and Atonement James McAvoy, Gnomeo and Juliet is set to become a 2011's family film favourite.

A brilliant British cast comprising Matt Lucas, Michael Caine, Maggie Smith, Jason Statham, Patrick Stewart, Julie Walters, Stephen Merchant and one time prince of darkness Ozzy Osbourne, support McAvoy and Blunt, whilst Elton John  provides the soundtrack. 

Gnomeo and Juliet is released in the UK next year.
