Jennifer Saunders to write Spice Girls musical

The funny has been appointed as Viva Forever writer

Jennifer Saunders will be writing the much awaited Spice Girls musical, Viva Forever. Judy Cramer, the producer behind the West-End hit Mamma Mia! came up with the idea and Saunders is said to be excited at taking on the project.

Viva Forever, which takes its name from a Spice Girls' song, will be about friendship and fame and will debut in London's West End in 2012.
