Brand's fiance', singer Katy Perry, has bought him a ticket to fly into space.
Katy Perry has spent £128,000 on a Virgin Galactic spacecraft ticket as a birthday gift for the British comedian, Virgin has confirmed.
Brand will be flying into space after a three day training course, but he will have to wait quite a while to take advantage of his present as the space flights are still being tested.
The ticket was bought for him last June to celebrate his 35th birthday.
