A US judge has denied a plea from Roman Polanski's victim to end the four-decade-old case against the fugitive director.
Top Gun sequel still ‘long way away’
Fans of the classic action film 'Top Gun' may have to wait a while for a sequel, Jerry Bruckheimer has revealed.
The original movie starring Tom Cruise as daredevil pilot ‘Maverick’ was produced by Jerry in 1986 and was a huge success worldwide.
Jerry has admitted that even though producers and writers have been plotting a second film since the first one hit the big screen over 24 years ago, nothing has yet been forthcoming.
"You know, it's a long ways away," Jerry said. "We've been talking about it since the movie came out and it was a big hit.”
He revealed Hollywood star Tom had attempted to get a sequel to the film rolling a long time ago, but not even the good-looking 48-year-old managed to get it off the ground.
Jerry said that although Tom had struggled to make it happen the pair haven’t given up all hope yet.
"Tom Cruise took a run at it many years ago and we just couldn't crack it. So we'll see what happens now," Jerry said.
