According to one in ten men a man's place is now well and truly in the kitchen.

New research from Great British Chefs reveals that men are increasingly taking charge of the kitchen - and dinner parties - and a third even admit to regularly kicking their partner out of the kitchen while cooking.

50% love a dinner party as it gives them a chance to play with fancy gadgets while one in ten do it all for the glory!

Men are increasingly trying their hand at new dishes with 47% turning to the Internet for recipes and tips or purchasing interactive cooking apps to help them create impressive meals - while 50 per cent of women prefer to stick to more traditional cookbooks.

Men are also succumbing to gadgets to ease the cooking process; 74% own either a handheld blender or milk frother - while 3% of men surveyed even have an egg peeler.
