A survey suggests more people now know their local takeaway delivery driver better than they know their postman or milkman.
The poll of takeaway delivery drivers across the UK (including Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool and London) uncovered some other intriguing insights:
22% of drivers have been offered alternative payment methods for their delivery, including, food and a mobile phone.
24% have been attacked by a customer’s pet, and not just dogs - drivers also mentioned snakes and a guinea pig
More than one in ten has been approached by an amorous housewife, with 11% having been asked out on a date while delivering food.
