Two brothers have been charged with the murder of a man whose decapitated body was found on fire in a Stockport street.
The charges come after the family of 32-year-old John Grainger described him as a "cheeky and loveable character".
John Grainger, 32, died from a blunt force head injury and a shotgun wound to the head, a post-mortem examination found.
After being shot, he was decapitated. His head was found close by his body.
In a statement, his family said: "John was a cheeky and loveable character who was a fantastic brother and uncle to his niece and nephews.
"He wanted to become a dad one day and was looking forward to what the future held.
"John loved football and was an avid fan of Manchester United."
The body of Mr Grainger was discovered at 5.10am on Thursday by firefighters tacking a nearby blaze.
Firefighters found Mr Grainger's decapitated body in Wellington Street as they tackled a fire opposite Gala Casino.
Superintendent Pete Matthews, from Greater Manchester Police, said: "Our thoughts are with John's family at this tragic time, as they try to come to terms with the loss of their loved one."
