Join Heart at the Cromer Carnival on Wednesday 18th August.

Fun on the field
The carnival day fun starts on the field in Runton Road at 9.30am. There will be a funfair, stalls, BBQ's, bar and something for all the family. Gates open at 9.30am, Adults £5.00, Senior Citizens £3.00, Children £2.00, Family ticket £12.00 (2 adults and 2 children)

The Heart Angels will be on the field from 2pm.  Come and grab your Heart flags and stickers.

Carnival Day Parade
17:00 onwards, Carnival Parade Assembles - Carnival Field, Runton Road.
18:15 to 18:45, Judging of the Floats and Fancy Dress.
19:00 Cromer Grand Carnival Parade.  Through the Town via Runton Road, Prince of Wales Road, Hamilton Road, Church Street, Mount Street, Louden Road, West Street, Beach Road and returning to the Runton Road car park. 

Grab your flags and stickers from the Heart Angels in the procession and smile for the camera as our Heart pap snaps you having fun.  Check back here late Wednesday evening to see if you can spot yourself in our picture gallery.

Travel & Parking

PARK AND RIDE

On Wednesday 18th August 2010 (Carnival Day) there will be no parking facilities within the carnival site, even for car pass holders.

There will be a free car park facility with a charged bus ride from Westgate, Holt Road, Cromer (A148), with coaches running all day, including during the procession.

  • During the day, the drop off point will be the Carnival Field, Runton Road and the collection point will be at the Beach Road bus stop
  • From 19:00 and during the procession, the coaches will drop off and pick up on the Holt Road, outside Morrisons
  • The cost is £2.00 per car for the coach journey, in to Cromer and return to Westgate
  • The coaches are provided free of charge by Sanders Coaches, Holt as their sponsorship of Cromer Carnival


TRAVELLING BY CAR

North Norfolk District Council car parks at The Meadow, Cadogan Road and Runton Road will be open
Car park charges at The Meadow and Cadogan Road will be as normal. Runton Road car park will be manned by Council staff who will be collecting a daily parking fee and allocating spaces for parking

TRAVELLING BY TRAIN

National Express East Anglia (Railways) operate regular train services on the Bittern Line, between Norwich and Sheringham, with all trains stopping at Cromer. A range of cheap day return tickets are available. If joining at an unstaffed station, you can purchase your ticket from the conductor on the train. After the Carnival Procession on Wednesday evening the last train to Norwich will depart Cromer at 23:57 and to Sheringham at 23:34.
