13 Year Old Boy Knocked Off Bike In Ipswich

A 13-year-old boy has been taken to hospital after he was knocked off his bike by a driver who failed to stop in Ipswich.

He was cycling along Newbury Road at around 2.15pm yesterday (1st June) when he was involved in a collision with a blue car. The vehicle's described as having a Smurf toy or character inside the front windscreen.

The teenager has been taken to Ipswich Hospital with suspected neck and head injuries but these are not thought to be serious.

Police are asking the driver, anyone who may know who he or she is, or anyone who witnessed the collision to call PC John Clarke at Martlesham Headquarters Roads Policing Unit by dialling Suffolk Police on 101, quoting CAD 269.
